What a great first day at VBS. Take a look at some of the amazing photos. A whole lot of learning going on. The lesson with the bubble pictures was to think of something big that we could be thankful for. Then the kids got a chance to be encircled with a HUGE bubble.
The blindfolds in the drama room helped the kids experience what it might be like to be blind, right before Heather Orton and Ryan McCarty smeared a little (oatmeal) mud on their faces, as Jesus did to help the blind man!
Speaking of mud, we got to taste some (pudding with gummy worms) thanks to Linda Sklenika and her great kitchen crew!
Over 240 kids got to experience that Jesus gives us the power to help others! AHA!
